well it was rain rain rain for week 1, and all games were cancelled… week 2 was a shambles with all gold coast games being cancelled (supposedly).

first grade :: Vs Helensvale @ Helensvale
game cancelled due to rain
second grade :: Vs Helensvale @ Newstead Park
LV – 136; HPP – 84 (Win on 1st Innings)

:: first grade ::

Nothing to report, except it rained, and week one was called off.. week two was called off… “Legs of” Hamm didn’t get the message, showed up at the ground and Helensvale had prepared some sort of playing pitch, and claimed there was a game… Poor form Helensvale, this sort of poor sportsmanship stinks of Australia vs India 2nd test.. Lets not go there..

I’m still not quite sure what went on there, but i hope it gets sorted quickly. even though no play took place, the first grade guys were in need of some practice so hightailed it back to the nets at the Village for an intense batting & bowling session..

:: second grade ::

due to week one being washed out, week two became a one day 40 over slog-a-thon… winning the toss growdo chose to bat, and the team posted a meager 136.. in response to this meager run chase Helensvale fell in a screaming heap only managing to get 84… wow, great win boys in defending such a low score.
