Well i don’t believe it, Handles finally won a toss.. What happened Jason, did you take out a two headed coin… ahaha
We scored a solid 190 but again lack of partnerships let us down.. A brilliant 51 from “Handles” Stein (his second of the season) bolstered the innings.. Handles was ably supported by “Ninja Skittles” Skeet with 30, “Gus” Kennedy 29, and 20no from the new guy Damien “Powder & Cream” Bryant..
I think if we are going to be competitive in this comp we need a few more partnerships… We seem to have a lot of players getting starts but not going on with it, not pointing any bones here but “Mojo” Lawson, and “Aravinda” Hammer were prime examples getting to 17 & 19 respectively then throwing away their wicket.. When we turn start’s into 50′s and decent partnerships are formed then we can expect to be competitive..
On a positive note, our bowling stocks are performing well in a bullish market, so we can expect some fireworks on a fairly placid wicket this weekend..
I must also mention one of the highlights of the days play was “Razor’s” lovely wife arriving in the red (Buggy) Beetle with a fair haired female visitor from Austria. Thanks Mrs Smith, the ACB and Logan Village cricket applaud your efforts in spreading the cricket word to our European friends.
my vital signs are steady and i need to eat a pizza. Go the village
