Once again, we weren’t good enough to bowl the Mudgeeraba Nerang out…Things didn’t go our way, and we dropped a few chances early, with Lawson grassing a diving forward chance when the opener/captain was on not many… This proved to be quite costly with Robinson going on to get a well timed 104. MN put on 160 for the opening stand when “Handles” brought on “Spinning Cobra” Geraghty and with his first ball a rank long hop managed to entice the batsman in to sheepish mid wicket slog which found “Knees” Clarke on the boundary… 8 bowlers were used on the day, with the exception of 12th man “Knees”, keeper “Robo”, and journey man “Lawso”… I think “Lawso” didn’t get a bowl as punishment for his dropped catch earlier in the day.
Today was just one of those days, where skied balls fall in the gaps, and decisions don’t go your way.. I’m sure in the New Year we will pick up our game, with business end of season approaching to make a run for the finals… We are not out of running yet, and with a couple of timely wins, we will be right back amongst it…
Have a very merry Xmas, and a happy new year. Most of all, stay safe… We need you fit and healthy for the second part of the 07/08 season.
