With a tinge of green on the deck, we knew we were in for a big chance of winning the local derby with Loganholme. LH resumed day 2 at 5/82 chasing 143 to win. Captain Smith opened the day with Jason JL Lawrence and Greg Duck Walton, and the Loganholme batsmen were keen to get on with things with the prospect of rain around.

Both JL and Duck were attacked from the start, so after a couple of overs Captain Smith turned to the ever reliable Dave Wally Walton to steady the ship. At the other end BigBoy Pimm was holding his own with some gentle medium pacers. Wally and BigBoy were able to stem the flow runs and to their credit put the pressure back onto the remaining Loganholme batsmen.

Wally was fantastic taking 6/21 off 17 overs and BigBoy was steady with 2/32 off 14 overs. In the end LVCC were able to roll the Loganholme boys for 132 and register their 2nd win for the season. It has been a great start to the year and the boys are on a high, and sitting in equal 4th position with 12 points and ready to take on the unbeaten Palm Beach side in round 4.
