Everyone likes a local derby, and this one is no different… Logan Village vs Alberton, like Man. United Vs Man. City…

To be honest if there is a team we love to beat, its Alberton… On paper, Logan Village second last, Alberton screaming into third.. This should be a cake walk for Alberton, and I would bet they thought it would be like a hot knife through butter… Lawso and Darts Geraghty got the Village off to a great start, 0 for 30 and really looking good… Simmering tensions, boiled over, and the game turned into a sledgefest… Butts put his foot down, got the game back under control, Geraghty put the hammer down, belted two fours, then tried to turn one down the legside, and got caught at second slip. We were 1/41, and still looking strong… in a blink of an eye, we slumped to 8/59 and in trouble… Jason Van Vliet had seven wickets, and bowling like a demon…

Step to the plate, Jason I should be batting number 5 Clarke, and Wil Big Willy Style Davis went to work… Playing the partnership of the season, they put on 101 of the best runs you we ever see… it had everything straight bats, blocks, lofted drives, cuts and pulls… Finally the innings ended on 160… What a recovery, what a partnership…. Top Effort boys..

Looking for a quick break through to put the blue caps under pressure we let ourselves with a couple of dropped catches… once again a couple of chances went begging… not one to name names, bugger that, lawso, and robbo back to catching practice for you… Alberton finished the day at 1/43… All we need to do is hold our catches, and we are in with a chance..
