Well done to Team Robo’s Tiling (Jason Roberts and cohorts) who recently won the Winter Warehouse B1 South One Day final…
After battling chronic player shortages in the regular season games, Team Robo’s Tiling shone through beating the Beenleigh Young Guns.. Off to the worst start possible with Lawso going second ball of the innings, the Team Tiling fort back with a couple of great partnerships… Damo was the main run scorer with 56.. Finishing on 9 for 239, Team Tiling felt confident they had set a reasonable score to bowl at..
This proved correct, bowling the Beenleigh for a woeful 120… Highlight of the afternoon session was the one handed (Fatty Vaughtin style) catch Lawso took to dismiss the Young Guns caption.. So dejected were the young guns at this fielding brilliance, they crumbled like dried up sand castles to give Team Tiling their first B1 Winter One Day Title..
