about
Logan Village Cricket Club was originally formed back in the early 1920s, but folded, until it reformed back in 1977, and still going strong after 30 years. Games were played on concrete behind Logan Village Hotel for 3 years until the club moved to its current location at Newstead Park in 1980.

Originally part of the Beaudesert competition, we qualified for the grand final in the second season that we competed. After this success, we made the grand final again in 1984 after moving to the Beenleigh competition. All grades continued in the Beenleigh competition until 2002, at which time the 1st and 2nd grade teams entered the Gold Coast grade competition, currently known as the Gabba Sporting Products Cup (GSP Cup). In 2004 our 1st grade team was successful in making the semi-finals.
Since 2002, our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teams have competed in the Beenleigh competition, with the 4th grade boys winning the premiership last season.
Logan Village is continually supporting Junior cricket in the local area and we hope to have 2 teams for next season. The juniors had a great season in 2006/07 with Qld Bulls player Aaron Nye coming to the presentation day to hand out trophies.
We have been lucky to be able to provide players to the Queensland Country teams and also the Australian County teams – Jason Stein has been at the club for five years and has been our most successful player to date.
Logan Village is on the lookout for a high profile coach that can help the club move to the next level and hopefully bring home a premiership in the next few seasons.
